We have added to prizes and extended the deadline for entry in the 2011
AAA Screenplay Contest to Midnight, March 14, 2011.
In doing so, we have raised the price of a script submission to $65 for entries after Feb. 27, 2011.
However, to soften the impact for those of you with more than one
script to submit, we have implemented a discout system for
additional scripts in the same submission. See the amounts and
details below.
In addition, we have added two prizes for comedy and horror features with prizes of $500 each.
Late
entry carries the penalty of a
higher cost for a number of reasons. Late entries put stress on
our contest management and make it necessary to seek additional
judges to read late scripts. In addition, the higher entry fee is
intended to be a teaching tool.
Screenwriting
doesn't always have deadlines, but some screenwriting (such as writing
for TV or rewriting a feature) usually does have strict deadlines. Therefore, being on
time is a professional discipline you need to develop
if you
are going to break in.
