'Allo 'Allo: The Complete Series Six

Jeremy Lloyd & David Croft

After an epic-length (for a British sitcom) fifth season, 'Allo, 'Allo returns to a more conventional eight-episode run for its sixth season of Nazi-occupied French farce. Café owner René Artois  (Gorden Kaye) continues to find himself and his employees called upon by the French resistance to perform increasingly arcane espionage exploits, resulting in hysterical scenarios that might find Ren&eacute hoisted into the air by a hidden radio antenna or absurdly disguised in an effort to mislead Herr Flick (Richard Gibson) of the Gestapo.  Relying on sexual innuendo, outrageously theatrical accents, and increasingly contrived situations for its humor, season six begins to outstay the series' welcome with the viewer now so familiar with the show's tropes that they can often predict the next punch line.  No extras are included.
