Moonlighting: Season Three
Jeff Reno, Ron Osborn, Kerry Ehrin,Dave Gelineau, Pauline Miller, Roger Director, Charles H. Eglee, Karen Hall, Debra Frank, Carl Sautter, and Glenn Gordon Caron
Created by Glenn Gordon Caron

Effectively produced in a pressure cooker of clashing personalities Moonlighting's third season harnesses the behind-the-scenes tension to escalate the will they/won't they romance of private detectives David Addison (Bruce Willis) and Maddie Hayes (Cybil Shepherd). Episodes expanding the series narrative mandate abound, with "Atomic Shakespeare" recasting the characters as the leads in Taming of the Shrew, while the introduction of Sam Crawford (Mark Harmon) as a love interest for Maddie ratchets the romantic stakes up another notch. Creator Glenn Gordon Caron is on hand to espouse the origins of stories via audio commentary while joining his writing staff to provide a more general view of the show's development in an informative featurette. This season has everything working for it -- even the paucity of episodes plays into the self-referential Moonlighting universe.
