The Constant Gardener
Jeffrey Caine
Based on the novel by John Le Carré

Based on John Le Carré's novel of the same name, The Constant Gardener delivers everything we've been waiting for in a movie this summer: romance, intrigue, action, an interesting and believable plot, and suspense. Finally, a thriller that actually delivers! When tragedy strikes and likable, if passive, diplomat Justin Quayle (Ralph Fiennes) has to identify the body of his brave, crusading wife, Tessa (Rachel Weisz), Quayle sets out to discover the purpose of his wife's work and the killers behind her death -- a journey that takes him around the world and opens his eyes to a global conspiracy. Likeable characters, Justin's interesting emotional progression, a quick-moving storyline, and smart writing [maybe an example here in parentheses?] make this picture a must-see for anyone writing a thriller. The Constant Gardener is truly a smart film, blending suspense, romance, and a cry for change. Like Hotel Rwanda, this great film is sure to get people talking, questioning things, and maybe even changing the world.
